What is Remediation?
Filed Under Education | Posted on October 21, 2008
You may have heard the word “remediation? used while trying to find treatment for developmental disabilities. But what is remediation and how can it help your child?
The word “remediation? is very important in the work my colleagues and I do with families affected by autism and other neuro-developmental disabilities, but it is a word that is unfamiliar to many people. I thought I would take a moment this week to talk about what remediation means in general, and specifically in the realm of autism.
Let’s start with some basic dictionary definitions:
What is the Lemon Law?
Filed Under Education | Posted on October 21, 2008
Here I would like to cover what is lemon law all about. It is a law which provides protection to consumers who buy cars. What happens when you purchase a vehicle and it fails to meet standards of quality and performance? The manufacturer is required to fix these defects which are stipulated in the warranty within a certain period of time or when a certain mileage has reach whichever comes first.
What happens to repeat problems?
YouTubers do it on video: YouTube = skills = opportunity for educators.

What is the future of video in education?
Can schools, colleges and universities take advantage of the skills the
YouTube Generation are learning and make use of them in classrooms?
Can the making of educational videos by YouTubers students be made to work?
This article will scratch the surface of an idea before its time. It
will show how inspiration comes in many forms: in my case a 3in tall
soft toy.
It will explain how I developed this idea and the first unsuccessful
(so far) steps I have taken to revolutionise learning in the classroom.
Who is The Real Greek Hercules
Filed Under Education | Posted on September 7, 2008
A man born into the spiritual and earthly border, the wander of the old milky path. Hercules was truly a much greater character ever mentioned by the Greeks, his mere background history, and his visual look, seem to go more beyond what Alexandria the Great might have wanted to be.
Between 500 B.C and 400 B.C something very visual happens, which no one seems to speak about. But was it the Greeks that changed it, or might it have been the Romans whom changed so many things, even history itself.
Solar Cells
Filed Under Education | Posted on September 7, 2008
What are solar cells, and how do they work?
A “solar cell” is a device which changes sunlight into electricity. More technically, a solar cell is also referred to as a “photovoltaic cell.”
The term “photo” derives from the Greek word for “light,” and the term “voltaic” comes from the word “volt” which means “electrical force.” A “cell” is a small receptacle or container containing electrodes which generate power.
Thus, a photovoltaic cell is a container that creates electric force, through light.
Whereas a solar cell can generate electricity from any light source, its intended use is the collection of solar energy from the sun.

The Huna Death Prayer And How It Can Be Used To Heal
Filed Under Education | Posted on August 2, 2008
Kahuna was the Hawaiian title for a priest, expert, teacher, and/or adviser. Among the legendary magical powers of the kahuna nui was the “Huna death prayer.” Usually, it’s mentioned in passing while saying that the secret was lost. Not true. This is how the Huna death prayer was done:
The Kahunas believed that man had two spirits, the lower or subconscious one being illogical and subject ot the influence of hypnotic suggestion. To become able to use the death prayer, a Kahuna had to inherit from another Kahuna one or more (usually about three) unihipili or subconscious spirits though he could, if sufficiently psychic, locate subconscious spirits himself and use hypnotic suggestion to capture and enslave them. (How he might have done that will be discussed in a future post.)
